A Brief History

The Denver Grizzlies were an 1994 expansion team in the International Hockey League. The Grizzlies had a very successful season, winning the IHL's Turner Cup championship. After the season, the Grizzlies moved to Utah to become the Utah Grizzlies because the National Hockey League's Quebec Nordiques relocated to Denver to become the Colorado Avalanche.
